Women's Bible Study // Morning Session

Join us on Wednesday mornings as we dig into the third book of Nancy Guthrie’s “Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament" series. In The Son of David: Seeing Jesus in the Historical Books, we will trace the history of the people of God from the time they entered the Promised Land, through a series of failed kings and exile, and finally to their return to await the true King. Gain a fresh perspective on Israel’s history and God’s kingdom, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture, and much more when you join us for this video series on Wednesday mornings.

We will once again have two options for participating in our study: in-person or virtually. Both will include small group discussion time.

 (no meeting April 7)
Cost: $15 (Books will be handed out at the first meeting or delivered to the homes of our virtual participants).

JOY: A Study in Philippians

Joy is one of the themes in Philippians—the joy we have in knowing the Lord, the joy we can have in the middle of chaos and crisis. Please join us as we dig into this encouraging letter from Paul this fall!

We will be meeting only in small groups this semester - either virtually or in person according to your preference.

Journal notebooks are available as a gift for you to use with this study in the sanctuary foyer and church office. We would be happy to deliver one to you as well if needed.

Trusting God in Difficult Times

A video series of short meditations from Psalms and Habakkuk by Tim Keller

Join us as we watch these timely videos that were made specifically to encourage believers in these tough times of Covid-19. We will watch the video together in our large group time as well as enjoy a personal testimony from one of our own. In our small groups, we will discuss the video and have a deeper discussion of the Bible passage for each week. You can join us in person or virtually (via Zoom) for both the large group time and small group time. There will be no charge for this study, but we will provide a packet of handouts to guide your studies.

Unfortunately we cannot offer childcare this fall because of Covid restrictions.

Women's Book Club

We are currently reading “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens. The story follows two timelines that slowly intertwine. The first timeline describes the life and adventures of a young girl named Kya as she grows up isolated in the marsh of North Carolina from 1952–1969. The second timeline follows a murder investigation of Chase Andrews, a local celebrity of Barkley Cove, a fictional coastal town of North Carolina. Contact the hostess, Kathy Adkins for more information.

Book Club — "The Sun Does Shine"

The book we will read for May’s Book Club is a true story called The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom by Anthony Ray Hinton. His story is about a condemned man who was released from prison in 2015, after spending nearly 30 years in solitary confinement on death row, went through a painful and torturous journey but found friendship, learned about human worth and value, and remained hopeful, forgiving and faithful.
