The Miracles of God
As the Creatives have given thought to this wonderful theme, one thing has become clear. The miraculous is God's fingerprint whether it is the miracle of a healing or of a fulfilled prophecy or in a sunset or in the meticulous wisdom of the Father's creative design. All that said, the miraculous can be lost on the inattentive (e.g., the Pharisees missed the point of the healing of the man born blind -John 9). Our prayer is that this exhibit will stir us all to worship Jesus more because of the miracle that He is.
Psalm 50:1-2
The Mighty One, God the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.
“Sunrise-Sunset”
By: Lupe Santo
It's very difficult to capture on canvas the amazing colors and brightness of a sunrise and sunset that only God can create. So, imagine what it will be like in heaven when there will be no more sun because the glory of God will be the light.
(Rev. 21:23)
“Crabbing Under a
Golden Chesapeake
Sunset”
By: Tom Schultheis
I am always inspired by photos showing people doing ordinary things in extraordinary settings. And I have never known a sunrise or a sunset to be anything but extraordinary. Although they are a common occurrence, they never cease to feel miraculous. In the words of the psalmist:
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!
(Psalm 113:3)

Miracles are sometimes things that we interpret as extraordinary or an event that seems impossible. But, miracles happen every day in our existence here on earth. We just need to look for them. How else could you explain that the sun, which provides light and energy for life on planet earth, is just a little over 94 million miles from
..placed exactly where it should be in the universe to sustain us and provide for us in the form of light, climate, and food?
I took this picture over 20 years ago when Charles and I hiked up to the summit for the sunrise. We left around 3:30 a.m. and joined about 50 others in the path to the top. When the sun began to rise above the clouds, many of those around us spontaneously started singing "How Great Thou Art"--- imagine a bunch of strangers praising God as they witnessed this everyday miracle! Later as we explored the summit, I saw Charles in the distance---alone, looking down into the clouds, and snapped this photo. I really have no words to describe the majesty and glory that we experienced that morning. The scriptures express it best -
"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork"
Psalms 19:1
"It is He who sits above the circle of the earth;.
...who stretches out the heavens like a
curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in.
Isaiah 40:22
“God’s Miracles, Like
the Waves in the
Ocean”
By: Ivy Vincent
The ocean is vast and unknowable, and reminded me of God's miracles.
“The Golden Girls”
By: Ellen Sinclair
The golden trees in the warm shimmering light were like sirens calling out to me to paint them. Was God sending me a message?
“Taps”
By: Ellen Sinclair
Day is done, Gone the sun, from the hills, from the lake, from the skies. All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
“Lillies”
By: Ellen Sinclair
Lilies symbolize purity, innocence, and rebirth. In religious iconography, they often represent the Virgin Mary and the resurrection of Christ.

When I see a rainbow in the sky I know all is right in my world.
“Chesapeake
Heavens”
Oil on canvas - diptych
By: Gina Warren Buzby
"We are blessed to love being on the water and to have a boat. I am constantly taking photos of the clouds and am in awe of the beauty and majesty of the Chesapeake Bay. If often paint "en plein air" from our boat in order to capture scenes immediately but this was an impactful array of clouds above the bridge - I took photos and came back to the studio to paint them. The clouds had swirled above a very calm bay and the reflected, royal blues caused me to take in a sharp breath and say a prayer of gratitude.
"You have made heaven and earth" are in multiple passages in the Bible."
“Midnight Iris”
Oil on canvas
By: Gina Warren Buzby
"In my Aunt's garden this violet Iris never seemed to close or wilt. She loved God and is now with him and our Christ Jesus. But, while here on earth, her favorite place was her garden. She always appreciated the blessings of the beautiful blooms and the ability / good health to work the garden. Midnight Iris is dedicated to her and the miracle of her faith which she enforced in me."
“Garden of God”
By: Samantha Ewing
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20-12 (NLT)
I had the privilege of visiting The Garden of Gods this past summer. I was overcome and overwhelmed by the beauty. The mountains in Colorado fascinate me. Their grandeur helps me to remember how very small I am, and how extraordinary God truly is. Meditating on Matthew 17:20-12, I can't imagine a mountain ever moving; and yet the number of mountains the Lord has moved from my path I will never know. Many of those obstacles were moved when my faith was as small as a mustard seed. Oswald Chambers put it so eloquently, "Keep paying attention to the Source, and God will either take you round the obstacle or remove it."

“Sunset, Sunrise”
By: Dennis J. Borgerding
The sun set that Friday evening
It was not your typical beautiful sunset
The skies were dark and foreboding
For the Son had been set in a grave
The day had been dark since the third hour
The light had been extinguished
Darkness seemed to have the power
The Son seem to be no more
The sun rose the next morning
But its glow did not fill the hearts.
Most seemed to be in mourning For the Son was gone away
There was no light for the believers
They were cowering in fear
There was no light for the deceivers They were still afraid of what they did
The sun set that Saturday evening
The world still holding its breath
Few held out still believing
Most just tormented by the darkness
The sun rose that Sunday morning
Joyously the world was changed
There was no more death or mourning
The Son had risen that glorious day.
