Houston was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in a small town outside of Kansas City. He earned his M.Div. from Midwestern Seminary and a B.S. Communication Studies, Organizational Communication from Kansas State University. He and his wife Piper have two children, Corrie and Lewis. Houston moved to Virginia Beach in November 2019 to serve as Youth & Family Minister before becoming the Community Pastor in June 2023. His aim is to glorify God by teaching and applying the gospel to every part of our church's life and culture.

Hobbies:  Reading, music-making, and anything that is outdoors
